Many people try to communicate by calling their phone when they lose it. If someone is nearby, they can receive the call and return the phone. In this way many times lost phone can be found. Moreover, if the phone is on, its location can be known using Google's Find My Device service.

But if the phone is turned off then it is not possible to recover it by calling again. Although the iPhone turned off the phone a few years ago, location tracking has been introduced. But Android users are still waiting for this feature.

Recently, there are indications of some good news in this regard. According to various tech sites, Google is working on a new feature that will send signals to the Find My Device network even when the Android phone is turned off. But for this the phone must support the feature.

The new Find My Device feature will work via Bluetooth. The phone's location will be stored in the device's Bluetooth beacon chip, which will transmit data to other nearby Android phones when the phone is off. Those Android phones will send that location data to Google's servers. From there, the owner of the lost phone can view the location of the phone on the Find My Device page by logging into his Google account.
