Many times we connect Bluetooth speaker with our phone and do various things with it. But in such cases if the bluetooth speaker is not connected with the phone then it creates a lot of annoying situation. But there is no reason to worry. Because you can easily solve this problem in a short time. In our today's article, we will discuss in detail what to do if the Bluetooth speaker does not connect to the phone.
Make sure your phone has Bluetooth turned on
Before doing anything else, first check if the Bluetooth option is enabled on your phone. Although this is a very common step but many times we don't pay attention to this small matter because we are annoyed by not connecting to Bluetooth. Especially when you keep bluetooth on all the time, this is not much of a concern.
On iPhone and most Androids, you can turn it on by swiping down from the top of your phone's screen, bringing down the notification panel, and tapping the Bluetooth icon. But if you still don't find it here, then launching the phone's Settings app and typing Bluetooth in the search bar will take you to the Bluetooth menu. If your bluetooth is always on then turn it off and on again. This quick fix will make your phone start searching for nearby Bluetooth devices and find your Bluetooth device there.
Checking whether the Bluetooth speaker is connected to another device or not
If you've been using your Bluetooth speaker connected to another device in the house, there's a good chance your speaker is still connected to another device. Check all the devices you have that have audio playback capabilities. This includes other phones, tablets, laptops, computers, car stereos, gaming consoles and even smart watches. Turn on the Bluetooth settings of all nearby devices to see if your speaker is connected to any of them. If connected then disconnect it to allow it to connect to your phone.
Check if the speaker is fully charged or not
If a speaker has too little charge, it may not turn on or may not connect to a device even if it turns on. Most Bluetooth devices have a built-in battery light indicator that lets you check if your Bluetooth speaker has a charge. But just to be safe you can charge your bluetooth speaker for 30 minutes and see if that solves your problem.
Put the Bluetooth speaker into pairing mode
When you want to connect a device to a Bluetooth speaker for the first time, you must turn on the pairing mode of that Bluetooth speaker. If you bought the speaker new, press and hold its power button. However, most Bluetooth speakers automatically go into pairing mode when turned on. It signals with a sound or an LED flash to let you know if your Bluetooth speaker is in pairing mode.
However, some models of Bluetooth speakers require manual activation of this pairing mode. For this, there will be a Bluetooth or pairing button that needs to be pressed and held for some time. Then you can connect your phone to this bluetooth speaker. But if you can't find it then you can follow the instruction manual that comes with the speaker.
Disconnecting other Bluetooth devices from your phone
If your phone is already connected to other Bluetooth devices such as Air Buds, it stops searching for nearby Bluetooth devices. Or you might find your Bluetooth speaker in the list but it won't connect to it. For this reason, try disconnecting other such devices before connecting them to your Bluetooth speaker.
Bring the Bluetooth speaker closer to the phone
Bluetooth works in the 2.4 GHz frequency band. If the neighboring devices are also in the same band then it becomes very difficult to use it. So try to bring your Bluetooth speaker as close as possible to the phone while in pairing mode. Also try to keep away from other devices that may cause problems. These include your home WiFi router, microwave, TV, smart home equipment, wireless computer peripherals and all Bluetooth and WiFi connected devices.
